About the Troupe
The Desert Darlings are an award winning Fusion Belly Dance troupe based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico. They specialize in theatrical belly dance, producing large stage shows annually. Founded by two sisters in 2010, the troupe now consists of eleven dancers with various dance backgrounds. The Darlings include Sadie Adair, Lorena Martinez Burr, Ally Lowry, Katryna Smith, Magda Difani, Valentine Duttle, Caroline Baker, Alex Rubi, and Alesandra Candelaria.
Sadie, Lorena, and Ally direct the Desert Darlings. They have produced several shows, including the most recent: "Wizard of Oz: A Theatrical Belly Dance Adventure," at the South Broadway Cultural Center. Their main focus is story telling through dance and they perform all original choreographies, many of which are collaborations between several members of the troupe. Their goal is to transport you to a different time and place with beautifully strange belly dancing.

I was in attendance last night and it was more than a mere "wonderful." It was FANTASTIC! The costumes! The choreography! The sets! The music!
